XAVEL is releasing a collection of highlights from KISS's 40th anniversary Japan tour! This first release features the entire premiere performance of the memorable tour, held at Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya on February 23rd, recorded in stunning sound quality.
Proclaiming "ever-evolving live recordings," XAVEL introduced the groundbreaking concept of "live recordings that surpass even stereo soundboard recordings" in 2013, breaking new ground in IEM matrix sound sources by mixing multiple IEM sources with premium AUD sources. In October of the same year, KISS toured Japan for the first time in seven years in support of their new album "Monster." To embody this new concept, the XAVEL label released two titles: "KISS Loves You Chiba," with its raw yet powerful sound that evokes limitless possibilities, and "Alive! Budokan 2013," an ambitious 4-CD release in a beautiful coated paper jacket that fans covet. These two titles were highly praised from all quarters as the definitive versions of the Monster Tour's Kanto performances, and now, after a year and four months, KISS is back in Japan for their 40th anniversary tour, bringing fans an even more refined, ultimate sound that has been refined with each performance!

KISS's "40th Anniversary Tour" began last year. Following their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and collaboration with Momoiro Clover Z, their 2015 Japan tour kicked off in Nagoya, then traveled to Osaka, Hiroshima, Sendai, and Tokyo, delighting fans across the country with a spectacular stage set complete with giant screens. This title captures the first performance at Nippon Gaishi Hall, a futuristic live recording that combines a perfectly balanced stereo mix of IEM sources used by each member onstage with premium audience sound recorded from the best acoustic position in the arena. The stunning sound, blending the overwhelming separation and clarity of a stereo soundboard recording with the rich bass and realism of premium AUD sound sources, will leave fans astounded! This superb sound quality reaches a whole new level, surpassing the matrix sound source from the 2013 Monster Tour! As this was the first day of the tour, there were some experimental parts, such as changes to the IEM source mix balance depending on the song, but overall, the label is proud to have produced an impeccable sound. The remaining performances will also be released with the ultimate matrix sound source that surpasses even this album!
