Fan-festival 2013 Tokyo performances saw the band's eight studio albums, each one perfectly recreated. The second day of the eight-night run at Akasaka Blitz, the May 9th concert, featured a perfect reproduction of "Radioactivity." This exceptional audience recording, comparable to a soundboard recording, captures every detail from the opening surround sound introduction to the final show. This title boasts astonishing sound quality, with 24-bit digital remastering applied to the original high-quality master from the XAVEL label.
Following the familiar robot voice intro, the album "Radioactivity" is reproduced in its entirety in the original track order, from "Geiger Counter" and "Radioactivity" to "Ohm, Sweet Ohm." This is followed by a balanced rendition of key songs from each era, from "Autobahn" to "Tour de France." As with last year's "NO NUKES 2012" Japan tour, "Radioactivity" is performed with Japanese lyrics. Perhaps because many fans in attendance were anti-nuclear, the cheers for "Fukusima" surpassed those of other days.
Fresh rhythm arrangements utilize the latest electronics, and the tour's biggest attraction is the "pop-out" 3D visuals, with the venue's surround sound meticulously crafted to match.
