Here is a superb soundboard recording of Magazine, the band led by former Buzzcocks vocalist Howard Devoto. It captures a razor-sharp performance from 1979 at the legendary Whisky a Go Go. The cover of the Sly Stone song (track 17) is an absolute must-listen. The musicianship across the board is exceptional—John McGeoch's guitar work, in particular, is something you simply have to hear.
