This release captures the concert held in Sapporo on January 18, 1984—the band's third tour of Japan since their debut visit in 1981. This tour was in support of the *Built to Destroy* album. During the Yokohama show on January 11, an incident occurred where a lighter—thrown by an over-excited audience member—struck Michael Schenker, causing him to halt the performance and leave the stage; however, by the time of the Sapporo show, he was in high spirits and delivered a magnificent performance. From the very start, he played with incredible intensity, shredding on the guitar as if the previous incident had never happened. As it was their first time performing in Sapporo, the crowd's energy was at a fever pitch; the result was a performance where band and audience became one—an outstanding show, even by the standards of 1984. Six tracks from a San Francisco concert held that same year are included as bonus tracks. Although the audio is an audience recording, the balance between instruments and the overall clarity make for a very pleasant listening experience.
