Live recordings from the 1987 Nice Jazz Festival are now available. While they performed at the Nice Jazz Festival almost every year around this time, this is the first recording from the second day of the festival. The recording, originally broadcast on French radio, has been remastered. The sound quality is cohesive and easy to listen to. The only downside was that French DJ talk occasionally intruded on the tracks, but thanks to the label's signature meticulous editing, it's been removed to the point where you can barely tell where the talk was. The Miles Davis band sounds particularly polished and refined overall on this day. I encourage everyone to compare it to their performances on other days and enjoy!
