This is a compilation of Paul McCartney's first European concert tour with Wings after the Beatles' breakup, titled "Tour Over Europe 1972-1973." It's now available as the ultimate collector's edition, featuring carefully selected soundboard recordings and rare film footage. In addition to the 20 tracks previously included on the limited-release official live CD "WINGS OVER EUROPE," previously unreleased soundboard recordings have been added, for a total of 41 tracks across two CDs. While the official release consisted entirely of recordings from the 1972 tour except for the opening track "Big Burn Bed," this new release includes a significant amount of additional material from the 1973 Newcastle, UK concert. The previously random track order has also been re-edited to conform to the original setlist, with CD1 containing the 1972 recordings and CD2 containing the 1973 recordings and the 1972 additional material, resulting in a more accurate recreation of the concert. The 12 tracks from the 1973 Newcastle concert are taken from previously unreleased master reels, and the officially released "Big Burn Bed" is included in an unedited, alternate mix. Furthermore, it includes numerous previously unreleased tracks, such as "Cottonfields," Denny Laine's "Go Now" and "Say You Don't Mind," and Henry MacRough's "Henry's Blues." It also includes "Complain to the Queen," an impromptu song performed backstage and broadcast on the radio. The DVD contains live film footage shot during the 1972-1973 tour. This is a valuable historical documentary that, despite being fragmented, offers a glimpse into the events of the time. It's a must-see video collection, including news footage from TV interviews and rehearsals, as well as the full rehearsal of "Peace for Ireland." This is the ultimate collector's edition, featuring two CDs of newly edited soundboard audio and a DVD of video footage.
