Love Symbol, an album produced in 1992 based on the concept of a Prince-style rock soap opera. At the time, it was unimaginable that the Love Symbol logo would later become Prince's name after he changed it, but listening to this album, one senses Prince already questioning his attachment to his name and expressing and acting out his semi-divided self. Furthermore, Prince's feud with Warner reached its peak during the production of this album, and this album can be said to vividly reflect Prince's mental state at the time. However, the officially released version is said to have been a forced cut, resulting from the replacement of several songs and the omission of segues, in order to fit the CD's running time. We have unearthed an acetate disc of Prince's Love Symbol, originally intended to be a two-disc set, and are now releasing it on CDR!! First of all, this version includes a longer version of "My Name Is Prince," clocking in at 8 minutes and 5 seconds. While the official release only had two segues, this one features an intro and eight segues, arranged in a way that perfectly aligns each song. Prince and princess, seven villains, and three gold rings... it truly embodies the rock soap opera Prince envisioned! And because this acetate was in excellent condition and the master was created directly from it, it's recorded with official-grade, ultra-high-quality sound! Enjoying Prince's unreleased album in official quality is truly a remarkable achievement! This Love Symbol album was previously titled "Love Symbol Original Acetates." However, its running time was 78 minutes, which is different from the newly unearthed 82-minute acetate. The main difference lies in the inclusion or exclusion of "Eye Wanna Melt With U." But honestly, there's more to it than that. There are also differences in the running time of the aforementioned "My Name Is Prince," as well as differences between songs, including the segue times, which reveal Prince's trial and error. In fact, there were several plans to release "Eye Wanna Melt With U" not on CD, but on cassette tape, or to release a 7-inch or 12-inch version of "Eye Wanna Melt With U" attached to an LP. In the end, several songs were shortened, the segues removed, and space was made for "Eye Wanna Melt With U," making it a single CD. The twists and turns that went into this can be seen in these two audio recordings. This time, we're specially releasing the out-of-print Love Symbol Original Acetates, which have recently been remastered from the original tapes and have been given track IDs, creating a special 3-disc special edition of Love Symbol As Intended.

Around the same time as the acetate, three test pressings made in early 1993 by Specialty Records Corporation, a Warner Bros. pressing, also surfaced. This bonus item includes six direct recordings of these tracks! These include "Damn U," featuring a saxophone rendition of Prince's vocals; "Blue Light," featuring a different intro; "Love 2 the 9s," a cleverly shortened and modified version with effects; and "Walk Don't Walk," recorded around this time and featuring a slightly different opening effect. All of these tracks are standalone versions, with no overlapping segues.
