She joined Fairport Convention, recording three historically significant albums in just one year before leaving in November 1969.

She then pursued a solo career, and this recording captures two concerts from 1972: one in Newcastle on October 12th and another in York on October 14th, both recorded with excellent audience quality.

The concerts feature Sandy Denny's guitar and piano accompaniment, and include songs from her first album, "The Sea and My Twisted Candle," among others, resulting in a truly wonderful performance.
