Simply Red enjoys immense popularity in Europe. This blue-eyed soul legend, and a talented individual who continues to create soul numbers with exceptional talent, has a large core fanbase in Japan as well. This release couples live performances from 2008 and 2009, both captured in top-notch professional video! First, a tribute to blues singer Bobby Bland, this live performance features an unusual setlist consisting entirely of covers. The Montreux Jazz Festival is known for its many artists and bands that impress with their discerning song selections, but this selection is truly impressive, as Mick Hackkinnell delivers these classics with his superb voice! Then, in the second half, the mood shifts completely, and the band delivers a fantastic performance featuring many of Simply Red's signature songs, including many tracks from the 80s and early 90s that fans have been craving!
