This is a superb audience recording of Symphony X, the American neo-classical band led by the technically skilled Michael Romeo, performing live at BB Kings in New York on May 25, 2007. This performance, held before the release of their album "Paradise Lost" (their first in approximately four and a half years since 2002), showcases their spirited playing and includes new songs. The show concludes with the epic 25-minute piece, "The Odyssey." Overall, the balance of each part is excellent, and Michael Romeo's guitar sound quality is particularly superb, making this an irresistible album for fans.
