This must-have audio file collection for fans features the complete album on two CDs, featuring the highly anticipated "Mono Mix in Stereo" audio, newly remastered in 2016, and a DVD featuring the 5.1 Surround Mix and MFSL Stereo audio. Unlike multi-track remixes, this title is faithful to the original, but contains a stereo version of the mono mix, unavailable on the official recording, across two CDs. The White Album was originally released in 1968 in both mono and stereo versions, and both have now been remastered and released on CD. The mono and stereo versions offer significantly different impressions, not only in terms of vocal and instrument separation, but also in terms of the presence or absence of sound effects and backing tracks, and even differences in the pitch and length of songs. Known as a treasure trove of intriguing mix variations, the mono and stereo versions offer strikingly different impressions. This 2-CD set converts the original mono source to stereo, creating a "mono mix in stereo" that's distinct from the original stereo source. This is not a simple pseudo-stereo conversion; rather, it meticulously converts the mono mix into true stereo, resulting in a clear, unadulterated stereo mix. Even fans familiar with the alternate mixes will be surprised and delighted by the new discoveries. The DVD also includes Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound, the polar opposite of the mono source, and the stereo PCM sound source from "MFSL," the ultimate analog record collector's dream.
