This concert film captures the STEEL WHEELS TOUR and URBAN JUNGLE TOUR, which took place in Japan and around the world from 1989 to 1990. Released in Japan in 1991, it boasts an IMAX format—more than 10 times the size of a regular 35mm film—offering a different kind of thrill than experiencing a live concert firsthand. It is now a difficult title to obtain.
The live footage primarily features performances at Wembley Arena in London, as well as in Turin, Italy, and Berlin, Germany. The director is Julian Temple, who has a strong reputation for films related to rock artists, including "THE GREAT ROCK'N'ROLL SWINDLE," "NO FUTURE A SEX PISTOLS FILM," and "LONDON CALLING THE LIFE OF JOE STRUMMER."
