It was broadcast in Japan, and there's probably no rock fan who doesn't know about it; it featured performances by some of the best bands. The second day of '83, Heavy Metal Day, was particularly outstanding, and Van Halen, who headlined, was at their absolute peak. Many consider this performance to be the best during the David Lee Roth era, or even the best Van Halen live performance of all time.
