At first glance, a collaboration between David Byrne—who emerged from the punk scene—and New Orleans funk heavyweight George Porter Jr. might seem unusual; however, for fans who loved the Afro-groove-infused sound of 1980s Talking Heads, it makes perfect sense. In 1992, Byrne released the album *Uh-Oh*, which heavily featured a horn section and had George Porter Jr. on bass; this live recording captures a performance featuring essentially that same lineup. While billed as an "excellent soundboard" recording, the sound of the crowd suggests some audience-recorded elements; nevertheless, the audio quality certainly lives up to the billing. Careful remastering has improved the clarity of George Porter's bass and smoothed out the transitions between tracks—which were previously choppy—resulting in a truly excellent release. The setlist even includes a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil."
