This recording captures the live performance held on March 12, 2011, at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as part of the world tour supporting Joe Bonamassa's new album, *Dust Bowl*. Although he had been active in 2010 with Black Country Communion—a supergroup featuring former Deep Purple member Glenn Hughes—and a promotional tour for that project was originally expected to begin around March 2011, he instead launched the tour for his own new solo album. The performance is superb and needs no explanation; his high level of energy makes him look like a fish in water. The setlist includes classic covers alongside tracks from *Dust Bowl*—such as "Slow Train," "Dust Bowl," and "You Better Watch Yourself"—as well as songs originally by The Who, Rory Gallagher, and Eric Clapton. Above all, the concert leaves a lasting impression due to his intense energy and spirited playing; you find yourself involuntarily muttering, "Man, this guy is good." As this is an audience recording remastered from the original master, the sound quality is excellent and direct; with impressive impact, clarity, and balance, it is a highly recommended release.
