This soundboard recording captures the first day of Oasis's legendary 1996 Manchester Main Road concert on April 27th, a show so famous it's a must-see for fans!

Held over two days, April 27th and 28th, this concert drew approximately 60,000 people and is a glorious record of their peak as a UK big band. Many fans were introduced to Oasis at this Main Road show, and you're guaranteed to be overwhelmed by their immense power from start to finish. Now, finally released by the SUPER SONIC label, this item features 24-bit remastering and re-chaptered audio, resulting in a crystal-clear sound.

With this item, you can fully enjoy this exciting historical gig, making it a must-have for Oasis fans and all rock fans alike.

Liam is in exceptional form on this day, and the performance is incredibly cohesive and captivating. The audience erupted in cheers from the very first song, "The Swamp Song," and Liam responded by shouting "Manchester, Maine Road mad for it!!!" during the song. Of course, being their hometown, every song was sung along to. The sequence of "Hello-Some Might Say-Roll With It" had a "charge ahead" feel to it, typical of this period, and it was truly incredible! That energy was evident throughout the MC segments as well, with Liam's rambling after "Round Are Way" being completely nonsensical and incomprehensible. In stark contrast to the first half, the second half featured a set centered around Noel's acoustic guitar. The four songs from "Whatever" onwards included strings, and this was the first time they were performed with this arrangement. Incidentally, "Cast No Shadow" that day was dedicated to John Squire of the Stone Roses, who was in the audience. Also, Noel dedicated "Wonderwall" to Meg, which drew teasing from Liam. Then, just before "I Am The Walrus" began, Noel, for some reason, strummed "D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman?" and Liam sang for just a moment—a very rare moment. "I Am The Walrus" itself was also quite exciting, with a brass section and harmonica joining in! The finale was "Cum On Feel The Noize," a song familiar to football fans. The only live versions of this song are these two days on Maine Road and Noel's performance at "Later With Jools Holland" in 1995. Midway through, Liam threw the microphone and stopped singing, leaving only Noel's chorus before the performance ended. With guitar feedback, he left the stage, leaving the audience with the words, "To the greatest fans in the world, from the greatest band in the world. Good night!"
