This compilation covers the second half of 2013. While Prince spent the summer of 2013 busy at festivals, he holed up at Paisley Park in the fall and winter, working on an album and performing live. CD1 features a wealth of new 3rd Eye Tunes tracks, demos, and outtakes. Starting with the beautiful "The Sweeter She Is," the album includes a never-before-heard new arrangement of "Something In The Water," and the bluesy "Da Bourgeoisis," available in both demo and horn section versions. Additionally, the alternate version used in the promotional video and the single EP "Breakfast Experience" were protected from direct copying and stored on a file, but these have been digitally recorded. The studio version of "Big City" is only a snippet, but the horn section's power is evident. Also included are the album version of "The Leader Of The Band" from Sheila's "Icon," and "We Are America," a collaboration between Esperanza Spalding and Prince. CD2 contains live performance material. Edited and especially noteworthy is the October 5th concert, featuring a long-awaited performance by Diamonds and Pearls. It also includes the Paisley Park concert from October 19th, 2013. And since this is a special edition, it also includes a compilation DVDR. It includes live footage from 3rd Eye YouTube, the "Breakfast Can Wait" music video, behind-the-scenes footage, rare commercial footage, and the "We Are America" music video, featuring cameos from Janelle Monáe and Stevie Wonder.
