Audience recording of Prince's 1990 birthday concert. The setlist is nearly identical to that of Discs 1 and 2 of the 7690 album, so we'll omit it here.

This DVD focuses on Prince's birthday in 1990. That day, around the time of his Hamburg concert, Prince was at his most energetic during the Nude Tour. He even pulled off a few surprises, including a riff from *The Latest Fashion* during *It Takes 2*, a jam from *Brother With A Purpose* during *Baby I'm A Star*, and a unique slow jam at the end that allowed Prince to rediscover his heavy funk. The complete video of the birthday concert is included on DVD. From the ecstatic performance of "Happy Birthday" to the birthday cake placed on the piano during "Baby I'm A Star," Prince blows out the candles at the perfect moment, then greedily eats the cake during a pause in the backing music. It's the polar opposite of Prince's image as a finicky eater, and thanks to this footage, we can see his aggressive side. While this is audience footage, it's shot with a younger audience and offers the highest quality yet. This CD-R also includes the complete 10-track set of the elusive single "New Power Generation" from the album "Graffiti Bridge." Planned in October 1990, three versions were released. This CD-R includes a longer version combining parts 1 and 2 of "New Power Generation," as well as outtakes taken at Larrabee Studios in the latter half. This is the first time the longer version of "New Power Generation" has been released.
