After changing his name, the prolific Prince recorded a lot, especially from 1994 to 1995. Heart is one unreleased album from that period, but there are apparently many other compilation albums available. This title marks the end of the complex and diverse Come and Gold period, marking the alternate album for Gold Experience. The second half kicks off with a house version of "Pussy Control" featuring Rosie Gaines' shouts, followed by the rockish "Endorphinemachine," a studio version of "Days of Wild" (not included on the original release), and a thrillingly sudden transition to "Acknowledge Me"! Then, there's "Empty Room," also not included on the album, followed by a pair of ballads ("So Dirk") and "Ripopgodazippa," a completely different flow from the album! Then, a slightly rougher transition from a remixed version of "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" to a live studio version of "Dolphine" by The Undertaker, featuring echoes of Prince's vocals. And then, without a pause, "Dinner With Delores," which was certainly recorded around this time, plays. The funky "Hide the Bone" was apparently also intended for the album, and Zanalee was also recorded around this time. After Pheromone, I Hate U is a rough, long version without NPG Operator, and the last track, Gold, also lacks NPG Operator and is a somewhat acoustic version with heavily remixed cutting guitar, but it still lasts just under six minutes, making it a slightly different long version from the demo version that was previously circulating. It's true that the totality that was present on Gold Experience is completely absent here, and although there is an awareness of connection in places, the album feels more like one of the test patterns from the Gold sessions. However, that variety adds a nice flavor, making it feel like a demo-like Come.

What's important is that this isn't just a collection of outtakes; the tracks have been carefully selected to make it sound like a full album.
