This item couples audio and video of Soft Machine's latest live performance, who continue to perform live energetically. The live performance took place at Poggy & Bess, a live music venue in Vienna, the city of music. The master is a pro-shot video, and the audio portion has been remastered with the talk between songs cut out. The first set of songs is included on Disc 1, and the second set on Disc 2. Since there's almost no audience noise, the editing is fast-paced and enjoyable, like a studio live performance. The DVD, on the other hand, includes the entire performance unedited, including the gaps between songs, allowing you to fully enjoy the entire live show. While John Marshall's absence is unfortunate, the band has been rejuvenated with Asaf Silkis, and Fred Baker has joined on bass, resulting in a powerful rhythm section. The transition from "Facelift" to "Hazard Profile" in the second half is incredibly cool, and is sure to bring a smile to the faces of longtime fans.
