Soul Stew Revival is a name you might not have heard before, but this is the band that preceded the current Tedeschi Trucks Band. While most of the backing members are different, Coffey Burbridge and Mike Matheson, allies from the Derek Trucks Band, were already members. Furthermore, their wide range of song selections was evident even back then. Susan's rendition of "Hey Jude" is soulful, reminiscent of Wilson Pickett with Duane Allman backing, evoking Muscle Shoals. This is a very well-recorded audience recording.
