[Anthology 3: Alternates]
This collection features rare recordings from the band's final period, from the "White Album," which showcased the individual personalities of the four members, to their final studio album, "Abbey Road." The first half begins with "Revolution," a 10-minute-plus track overdubbed from Take 18 that has been a hot topic for several years, and includes rare White Album recordings not previously included in box sets. Also included are recently unearthed rehearsal recordings from Rock 'n' Roll Circus, including "Revolution" and "Yer Blues," remastered versions. The second half features highlights from the "Get Back Sessions," demixed from the mono Twickenham Studios recordings to true stereo, as well as outtakes from the Abbey Road album, primarily not previously included in box sets. Tracks like "Something," "Here Comes the Sun," and "Because" all feature upgraded mixes that are a must-see.
