Soul Train, a TV program that symbolizes the golden age of Black music in the 1970s. This is the seventh installment in the best compilation series, compiling rare performances from precious on-air footage. This time too, it boasts a fantastic lineup, including Creative Source, who had hits with Carpenters covers before becoming a disco band; the still-going Four Tops after their label change; the large funk band New Birth; and of course, the legendary JB, with the JB's, Lynn Collins, and Sweet Charles as opening acts! Also featured are Stevie Wonder's ex-wife Syreeta, Stax's flagship singer Johnny Taylor, the early Kool & the Gang who produced hit after hit, the beautiful Al Wilson, the Philly quintessential The O'Jays, and the Ramsey Lewis Trio, which included Maurice White. This is once again a treasure trove of black music, totaling two hours.
