This release captures a live performance from Buddy Guy's 2011 North American tour, recorded on April 16 at the Red Robinson Show Theatre (Boulevard Casino) in Coquitlam, BC, Canada. True to form, the then-75-year-old delivers a masterful performance that gets the crowd fired up; Buddy himself clearly enjoys the concert with his whole being. The atmosphere is warm and friendly—with laughter even ringing out through the venue—and his between-song banter is delightful as he engages the audience. His playing needs no introduction; he amazes once again with his signature bluesy style. Although it is an audience recording, the sound quality is excellent—well-balanced, free of muddiness, and consistently stable throughout, making for a thoroughly enjoyable listening experience.
