Live recording by Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention. This is a soundboard recording recently unearthed from a 1973 live performance, the same year as the official live album "Roxy & Elsewhere." However, despite being a soundboard recording, the master was extremely high-frequency-heavy and had a lot of noticeable hiss noise – quite poor quality. But, as they say, with polishing, it shines; careful mastering to balance the sound achieved official-album quality. Furthermore, because the 81-minute running time was too short for a double album, only the instrument tuning sections between songs were cut, and the tracks were seamlessly spliced together to fit onto one disc. Zappa's speeches were not cut. Incidentally, the fade-out at the end of "Dupries Paradise" is due to the master.

This period saw George Duke in the Mothers of Invention lineup, making it one of the most popular periods for jazz-rock fans. The twin drumming of Ralph Humphrey and Chester Thompson is also a must-listen. Chester Thompson later provided excellent support in a twin-drum setup with Phil Collins, and playing second drums is second on his fingertips. You can enjoy robust jazz-rock that starts with Zappa interacting with the audience and progresses with solos for each part.
