This release captures a live performance from Gary Moore's first tour of Japan in 1983—featuring Ian Paice—recorded on January 27th at Kaikan Hall in Kyoto. It is a rare example of a show held in a regional city for that era. Taking place toward the end of the tour, the performance is highly polished. The setlist includes "DON'T TAKE ME FOR A LOSER" (a song not typically featured) and a rendition of "SUNSET" played as a requiem for Randy Rhoads, who had tragically passed away in a plane crash. Setting aside the fact that it was a regional show, the quality of the performance is arguably superb for a debut tour in Japan. Regarding sound quality, although it is an audience recording, it is exceptionally clear and high-quality, with a well-balanced mix of the instruments. While the Kyoto show has seen previous releases, the source material used here includes everything up to the final post-show announcement at the venue.
