This is the "Mike Millard Tape," recorded by Mike Millard, a taper familiar to fans for his exceptional audience recording skills. While several recordings using the Mike Millard Tape as the master have been released by this label, you may have noticed that there are two types: the "Brushed Mike Millard Tape" and the "Legendary Mike Millard Tape." Not all Mike Millard Tapes have perfect sound quality; some have considerable room for improvement. The "Brushed" series features significantly improved versions, while the "Legendary" series features tapes that were originally near perfect with little room for improvement, only receiving minor edits such as between tracks.

This item is a live recording from Genesis' 1976 "Trick of the Tail" tour and is part of the "Legendary" series. This tour followed the first album after Peter Gabriel, the original leader of Genesis, left the band. Signature songs that would be played in later live shows, such as "Dance on a Volcano" and "Squonk," as well as the magnificent "Los Endos" that closes the album, were created during this period. Phil Collins takes over vocals on the songs from Gabriel's era, and he was praised from the beginning for sounding very similar, so there is no sense of incongruity. The renowned drummer Bill Bruford, who was in high demand by progressive rock bands at the time, participates as a support member! The twin drumming with Phil is breathtaking.
