This is a collection of live performances by Jean-Luc Ponty, one of the most important violinists in the progressive rock world. It includes recordings from Norway in 1975, Berlin in 1975, and Fort Worth in 1977. All are soundboard recordings. While the 1977 recording has some over-level distortion due to the master, the overall quality is generally high. While not widely known, Ponty is a key figure in the progressive rock and jazz-rock world. He's a prominent figure who has played with the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Frank Zappa's Mothers, and Return to Forever. The guitarist is Daryl Starmer, who would later become the absolute guitarist of Genesis. This is a must-have for fans, but it's also recommended as an introduction to Ponty's live performances.
