Kraftwerk's latest tour, 'MULTIMEDIA TOUR', has arrived in Japan!
The Tokyo opening night, a wildly exciting Friday night and the highlight of the 2026 Japan tour (four shows in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka), is fully captured in astonishingly high-quality sound.
The latest 'MULTIMEDIA TOUR' utilizes cutting-edge 3D visuals and Dolby Atmos technology.
The choice of the brand-new SGC Hall Ariake as the venue for the Tokyo performance contributed to the creation of an overwhelming live space perfectly suited to experiencing Kraftwerk's unique world.
The setlist, skillfully arranging and covering both old and new representative songs, was a breathless musical nonstop, summarizing their entire career. The transition from "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence" to "Radioactivity," a unique aspect of this tour, was also moving.
This title captures the entirety of this latest tour, a must-see for all techno-pop fans, in truly definitive sound quality.
Using the high-quality original master recording from the XAVEL label, recorded from the front center block of the venue's first floor, this is a breathtaking piece of content that realistically captures the overwhelming stereo sound and the deep bass of the latest equipment.
Furthermore, by demixing and remastering this superb master, the biggest drawback of audience recordings—annoying chatter and coughing around the recorder—has been minimized, and the sound has been refined to emphasize three-dimensionality and wide dynamic range, accurately conveying the nuances of the venue's acoustics.
This is a masterful work that proves the XAVEL label's brilliance, which delivered a series of astonishing titles that impressed even the most discerning fans during the 2013 "THE CATALOGUE 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8" tour, demonstrating their "continuously evolving professional live sound."
The accompanying DVD features a complete recording of the first Tokyo performance, captured with exceptionally stable original audience footage.
The beautiful video captures the stage and back screen with stable and excellent camerawork from a seat slightly to the left of the center block at the very front of the venue. Furthermore, the audio uses the same superb sound source as that used on the CD, resulting in extremely high-quality content.
This is a truly worthwhile video that serves as the definitive record of Live in Japan 2026.
