This release couples professionally shot live footage from 1977 and 1978, the early days of the Pat Metheny Group. The first half features a live performance from Austin, Texas on December 15, 1977, and the second half features a live performance from Berlin, Germany on November 1, 1978. Both performances have been digitally remastered in 2010 using the best-preserved existing pro-shot masters, resulting in an extremely high-quality finish that can be called the "definitive version" in terms of both picture and sound. The young PMG, who faithfully recreated the refreshing sound of their debut album "Pat Metheny Group" in a live setting, are a must-see for all fans.
