This aftershow from the 20Ten tour in Cannes, France, is here with the ultimate soundboard recording, courtesy of a source from the insiders! It also includes an 11-minute soundcheck, previously unreleased. As funk and soul tracks play from the PA, Prince's voice and individual instruments are tested. All of this was recorded on a DAT card and released as a soundboard recording. This is a true line recording that only those inside the club could obtain! And of course, the aftershow itself delivers the professional line sound with the immersive feel only a club can offer! This is the ultimate soundboard recording, allowing you to hear even the slightest gestures of Prince and his band! Enjoy the final day of the summer 20Ten tour, the final aftershow, with the ultimate soundboard sound! A true Prince fan's dream! The opening is unmistakably Prince-involved, beginning with an instrumental, guitar-driven riff! The "yeah!" The funky "yeah!" A groovy jazz-funk experience on SB! Get moving! Then Shelby and the others start singing "I really love it," Fred's harp, and then some scratches. Prince adds some noisy guitar, and the song transitions into "The Jam"! Prince's super-groovy vocals showcase his innovative, speedy development! He introduces his bandmates in a funky way, stopping and starting again, creating a busy, manic, and manic performance! The following downer version of "Thank You" is played with a loose, sluggish feel, but the individual instruments are directly heard on the soundboard, making you marvel at how professional NPG is! Then, to create a different atmosphere, he performs a standard version of "Thank You," adding a new element of tempo variation! Next up is the Ohio Players' cover of "I Want To Be Free"! Fred's harp, yes, his playing, is also enjoyable on the soundboard! And the impressive guitar presence is truly remarkable, especially in the SB version! And Prince's Sugarfoot-esque vocals are fantastic! The female backing vocals faithfully mimic the Ohio Players' "whoosh, whoosh, whoosh-woo" tunes, faithfully recreating the original, are also conveyed through the SB version! The second half of the song, in which Prince chant's desire to be free from technology, from his mind, and from his heart, is also divine! It's a truly dramatic gem! Ol' Skool Company features a funky arrangement, including guitar, that's perfect for after-shows! Liv Warfield contributes to the upbeat gospel version of "When Will We Be Paid?", with Prince contributing keyboards! The melody is delivered directly to your ears! Shelby takes center stage on "Baby Love," where the clever harmonies with the backing vocals give you goosebumps! Renato Neto joins on keyboards, and the triple-band sound with Mr. Haze and Cassandra is thick, but this is also SB, so each individual performance is well-understood! Next up is Prince's cutting-driven new version of "Girls & Boys." Fred's harp and scratches join in for a blast! Then we're swept up in "Cream," which leads to the unexpectedly delightful "Song of the Heart"! It's great to see Prince singing! And then it really gets amazing, and then it leads to this song, hats off to him! Sex Machine! With funky guitar and Renato's freaky keyboard riffs, this is a super cool funk jam that makes you want to call it "Song of the Heart vs. Sex Machine." Fred's blow makes it the ultimate funk contest! Band leader Prince is like a god with his guitar and vocals! Best! So cool it's chilling! This ultimate soundboard recording will definitely make you think that this was the best aftershow ever! Additionally, the Herning performance from the 20Ten tour and the soundcheck from the main show before the aftershow are all included as bonus soundboard recordings.
