While Prince's outtakes were being reconstructed for the enhanced series of The Work, a collection of leaked outtakes and sessions was released under a different concept. Prince's new song "Turn Me Loose" was only available as a live version at the time, but this release includes the studio take. This meticulously crafted, ultimately funky number is even more stunning than the live performance! It also covers various scattered 3121.com recordings, including the first appearance of a long 8-minute version of "Gold Nigga" and Mayte's "Rhythm Of Your Heart." We finally get a glimpse of the remixed versions of "Heart"! The rumors were true! This collection includes outtakes from the legendary Pure Funk label, including Cosmic Day, Everybody Want What They Don't Got, Hard To Get, Adonis and Bathsheba, Big House, Traffic Jam, and Go, from the mid-'80s, right at the height of Prince's power! Unfortunately, each track is just a minute long, like a sample, but the sound quality is excellent and you can still enjoy the songs. Each track is so cool and beautiful it's guaranteed to give you goosebumps. Plus, we've included remixes of Glam Slam Ulysees' Gold Experience-style tracks, remastered and recorded in the highest quality ever! Each disc ends with an intro or a cutting cut from a different version of "(Eye) Like Funky Music," making for a truly enjoyable experience!
