This is a line recording of the Stray Cats' first performance in Japan on September 17, 1981, at Nakano Sunplaza in Tokyo, Japan. Following the release of their first album and a US tour, this was their first Japanese performance, realized in the fall. Singles like "Runaway Boy" and "Rock Town" were huge hits in Japan, and the performance recorded here, starting amidst the fervent energy of the packed audience, showcases a raw, youthful energy and the band's best rockabilly sound that can only be heard at this time. The coupling track features a memorable performance from their 1982 show at the Ritz in New York. The sound quality is stable and high-fidelity, thanks to the use of an SBD source.
