This was part of Bob Dylan's North American tour, which began in March. Bob had been performing energetically in March and April, but after this one performance at Abilene, TX, which is the only one recorded in May, he took a break until June. This performance felt very carefully executed, with a good balance of songs performed. Covers of Bo Diddley and Eddie Cochran were also included, and the concert as a whole was well-balanced and excellent. The sound quality is excellent, as it is an audience recording, and it is recorded in high quality with a sense of clarity and stable, high-fidelity sound.
