This recording captures Brian May's 1993 solo concert in Japan, specifically the November 8th performance at Koseinenkin Kaikan in Osaka, Japan. This was his first solo tour in Japan, and he brought a truly star-studded band with him. The highlight was undoubtedly drummer Cozy Powell, who received thunderous applause after his drum solo. Brian himself incorporated not only Queen songs but also Rainbow tracks into his setlist, creating a relaxed and free-spirited performance. In a way, it lacked the stoic intensity often associated with Queen concerts, instead offering a cheerful rock show that was thoroughly enjoyable. Despite being an audience recording, the sound quality is excellent, thanks to the use of high-quality sources and the youthfulness of the recording. There's no extreme tone control, resulting in a very natural and clear sound with excellent presence throughout.
