This is a line recording of Eric Clapton's 1974 US tour, specifically the first of three shows in California, on July 19th at the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, CA, USA. This was a promotional tour for Eric's early masterpiece, "461 Ocean Boulevard," and was so successful that it led to the creation of the live album "EC WAS HERE." It features raw energy and improvisation that can only be heard at this time, and Eric himself was only 28 years old, resulting in unparalleled energy and intensity in his live performances. Each of the three shows featured some set changes and altered arrangements of the same songs, making for a wealth of listening experiences. The sound quality is excellent, with careful noise reduction and tone balance adjustments performed during the SBD recording.
