A 1974 live performance by Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters, coupled with audio and video. He was introduced to the electric piano by Miles Davis and later formed the funk collective Headhunters. The album was set in the 1970s, the height of funk, and the accompanying footage captures the era with images of Hancock in his afro and Paul Jackson with his beard and wool hat, surrounded by electronic organs and Fender Rhodes instruments. The drummer, Mike Clark, is a white man, but his steady, sharp drumming drives the album's groovy funk sound, a must-listen.
