The "Mike Millard Tapes," recorded by Mike Millard, a taper familiar to fans for his exceptional audience recording skills, are now available. While several recordings using the Mike Millard Tapes as masters have been released by the same label, you may have noticed that there are two types: the "Brushed Mike Millard Tapes" and the "Legendary Mike Millard Tapes." Not all Mike Millard Tapes have perfect sound quality; some have considerable room for improvement. The "Brushed" series features significantly improved versions, while the "Legendary" series features tapes that were originally near perfect with little room for improvement, and only minor edits such as slight transitions between tracks are made.

This time, we have Jethro Tull from the "Legendary" series. Generally known to rock fans as the Rolling Stones' "Rock 'n' Roll Circus," the main man, John Anderson, is the one playing the flute with one leg raised. The band's greatest appeal lies in its richly varied songs that alternate between pastoral acoustic sounds and heavy electric sounds. The highlight of the first half is, of course, "The Untainted World of Gerald," which gets the fans very excited. Jethro Tull's early work was bluesy rock, but in the 70s, their progressive rock influences grew stronger, and "The Untainted World of Gerald" became a huge hit album. From 1977, when this live performance took place, they entered the period of their folk-rock trilogy, and this is a great title that allows you to enjoy a wonderful stage performance with a mix of old and new masterpieces in an immersive audience recording. As is typical of the "Legendary" series, the sound quality itself hasn't been heavily edited, but the inconsistent volume levels have been carefully adjusted.
