The definitive recording of the Stuttgart performance by the golden quartet, widely considered one of the greatest performances in jazz history, is now available.
This two-disc set completely captures the November 4, 1963 concert in Stuttgart, Germany, using superb soundboard audio from a rebroadcast.
Utilizing the best-ever master recording from the rebroadcast, this release has undergone state-of-the-art 24-bit/96kHz digital remastering, resulting in an undeniably definitive recording of the Stuttgart concert, surpassing all other sources in terms of sound pressure, balance, separation, atmosphere, three-dimensionality, and depth.
Unfortunately, due to broadcast time constraints, the final song, "Mr. P.C.," ends at 23 minutes and 59 seconds, but even taking that into account, it's a truly wonderful item.
