The newly unearthed soundboard series has astounded collectors worldwide. A recording from within this collection has been released. This album features the "February 23, 1983 Detroit performance." This is a particularly fertile area, with five consecutive "CREATURES OF THE NIGHT" tour titles. This work is a world premiere sound source, brought to us via the same route as the series of soundboards. This is a newly discovered collection of the "CREATURES OF THE NIGHT" tour. The Detroit performance in this work was the 34th concert of the main North American tour. This show has long been known for its decent audience recordings, but this work is a completely different recording. It was recorded by staff for reference purposes, and Vinnie Vincent was concerned about his guitar sound and wanted to confirm "how it would sound in an arena." In other words, the recording point was the soundboard desk where the staff was located, and a microphone recording was used to confirm how it sounded in the venue. The sound also has its distinctive characteristics, with an extremely thick core and direct feel, while also providing a rich sense of presence in the hall. It feels "powerful for an audience, yet spacious for a soundboard." This hybrid sound flows from the precious site of Vinnie Vincent's time in residence. Perhaps because it was recorded for documentation purposes, it wasn't a full recording, ending around the drum solo. It's rare to see the details of the recording so clearly, but it's interesting to see how the circumstances are clearly reflected in the sound quality. Unfortunately, it's an incomplete recording of the show, and the deeper you go, the more interesting it becomes. This recording was made to confirm how Vinnie Vincent's guitar would sound in the venue, and this is a rare piece, appearing for the first time in the world, featuring microphone pickup at the mixing desk.
