This release features three sources of live footage of Lee Ritenour, all digitally remastered from ultra-high-definition professional-shot masters. Disc 1 contains footage from his November 29, 2006 performance in Seoul, South Korea, featuring a band co-led with Dave Grusin. This live performance, centered around songs from his then-latest album "Smoke 'n' Mirrors," boasts perfect picture and sound quality. The beauty of the lyrical songs, exemplified by "Southwest Passage," is something only these two could achieve together. The first half of Disc 2 features a live performance by the Ritenour Band in Seoul, South Korea, on March 13, 2008, again with perfect picture and sound quality. While the band lineup differs from the Japanese performance held around September of the same year, "Rio Funk" is guaranteed to get you pumped up, and "Is It You?" with the beautiful Anne Kei, who is scheduled to tour Japan with Ritenour in 2009, is not to be missed. Finally, the second half of Disc 2 features another breathtaking video: a live performance by the "NY & LA Dream Band" at the Budokan in 1980. The band, assembled around a young Dave Grusin, features a star-studded lineup including Ritner, Steve Gadd, Anthony Jackson, and Eric Gale—truly deserving of the title "dream band." The picture and sound quality are also superb, showing almost no deterioration due to age!
