We've received a truly definitive release from PMG's special stage performances in Tokyo and Nagoya from late 2008 to early 2009. Both the first and second stages of the January 7th Tokyo concert are fully recorded in superb audio quality on two discs. Featuring Lyle Mays (keyboards) and Steve Rodby (bass), two PMG veterans of over a quarter century, and Antonio Sanchez (drums), who has established himself as a fixture in the band since joining in 2002 thanks to Pat Metheny's immense trust, this tour featured a number of classic tracks from the band's early career, bringing tears to the eyes of longtime fans. Now, with astonishing audio quality, this complete recording of both shows delivers the full story. Disc 1 covers the first show, and Disc 2 covers the second show. The setlists, which span the entire history of PMG, feature not a single overlap between the two shows, and even an unexpected second encore in response to the enthusiastic fans.
