Mono versions of the three albums following "Yellow Submarine" have been released in some form, but unlike the mono versions from before the White Album, these are simply audio tracks that were tracked down for stereo and then converted to mono, making them less meaningful from a discerning fan perspective. For this reason, they were not included in the mono box set when the album was remastered in 2009. However, at the time of their original release in 1969, "YELLOW SUBMARINE" was released on LP in the US, and "ABBEY ROAD" was released on reel-to-reel. In that sense, while it's not a different mix, it's still the official version. For songs with remixes that have a stereo feel, listening to this mono version allows you to experience a more unified band feel.
