The "Necromancer Series" reissues rare titles—originally released by handmade, collector-run labels with limited distribution—using officially acquired master recordings. This release marks the debut of the "Locked Room" label, which specializes in rock and pop music.
This album captures a live performance featuring guitar virtuoso Uli Jon Roth (known for his work with Scorpions and Electric Sun) and Mountain guitarist Leslie West. Although their sets are separate and they only perform together on two tracks, it is a rare collaboration between two of the greatest guitarists in the hard rock and metal worlds. It includes a superb rendition of "All Along the Watchtower"—performed in the style of Jimi Hendrix, a signature move for Uli Jon Roth. Despite being an audience recording, the sound quality is so high it rivals a soundboard recording, making it an enjoyable listen even for casual fans.
