"Soul Train," a TV program that symbolizes the golden age of Black music in the 1970s. This is the third installment in a best-of compilation series compiling rare performances from its precious on-air footage. This time, we start with the Supremes without Diana Ross, whom we should re-evaluate; Lloyd Price, a favorite of the connoisseurs; Chuck Berry, who transformed Soul Train into R&R; New Soul sung by the hit songmaker Willie Hutch; and finally, the appearance of the funk god, James Brown; the sweet Four Tops; Otis Clay singing his own hit songs; Curtis Mayfield and Martha Reeves also performing their well-known classics.
